Step Four - Ketose to Aldose Isomerisation of Fructose 1,6-bisphosphate

Not possible.

This reaction involves swapping the carbonyl group on carbon 2 with the hydroxyl group on carbon 1. Since the hydroxyl group on carbon 1 is blocked by phosphorylation the operation isn't possible. Besides which, it would take you back to a glucose derivative.
