Step Six - Dephosphorylation of Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate

Counterproductive.

Remember, it helps to have substrates that are charged. So you shouldn't dephosphorylate if it gives a product that is uncharged. Keep at least one phosphate on the molecule until it is appropriate to dephosphorylate.
